  • This picture has been taken at 1:30 am in a very cold but beautiful night in Trondheim. A supermoon is the coincidence of a full moon or a New moon with the closest approach the Moon makes to the Earth on its elliptical orbit, resulting in the largest apparent size of the lunar disk as seen from Earth. This picture has been taken in the morning so it is lose to 98% of the moon. Please feel free to check my photos here or find me by: |Website| ,

  • This picture has been taken after the first winter snow in Trondheim in the midnight. I like the blue sky with the white snow on top of the beautiful wooden houses. Trondheim with picturesque, tiny, wooden houses. This idyllic neighbourhood on the east side of the Nidelva river features old timber buildings, originally the homes of the working class. Now restored, Bakklandet is a charming mixture of houses, shops and cafés.<br />
Nidelva river cuts through the city, winding its way along the Nidarosdomen park and picturesque areas, with the historic, wooden wharf houses lining its sides towards the mouth at the Trondheim fjord, and the beautiful, wooden bridge amle Bybrocrossing the river. • www.aziznasutiphotography.com Munkholmen (Norwegian: the monk's islet) is an islet north of Trondheim, Norway. It sits in the Trondheimsfjord about 1.3 kilometres (0.81 mi) northwest of the island of Brattøra and the mouth of the river Nidelva. The islet has served as a place of execution, a monastery, a fortress, prison, and a World War II anti-aircraft gun station. Today, Munkholmen is a popular tourist attraction and recreation site. In the years prior to the founding of the city of Trondheim in 997 by Viking King Olav Tryggvason, Munkholmen was used as an execution site by the Jarls of Lade. The arrival of Olav Tryggvason to Norway in 995 coincided with a revolt against Haakon Sigurdsson, who was killed by Tormod Kark. The severed heads of both Haakon and Kark were placed on stakes on Munkholmen facing out into the fjord to serve as a warning to visitors. Legend has it that before entering Trondheim, visitors were made to spit on these heads as a tribute to King Olav I of Norway. The tradition of displaying the severed heads of criminals and political opponents was continued for some time, but the heads were now placed so that they faced the city of Trondheim to deter its citizens from committing crimes.(Wiki)

  • One morning when I was going to my work office at Geological Survey of Norway, I saw a fantastic sunrise close by my office. In fact my working place located close enough to Trondheim fjord . Anyway, I had my camera with me and couldn stop myself not to go and take some shots. I went down to the coast and I already impressed by the unusual winter strong colors. I put the camera on the tripod and went as close possible to the waves. I was little bit scared as well because I am not a good swimmer
Anyway, I managed to get some very nice shots when I was standing still at least for 2-3 minutes.(Second picture)

  • Verftsbrua (Norwegian for "Yard Bridge"), also popularly called Blomsterbrua ("Flower Bridge") is a bridge at the bay of Trondheim. The bridge, built in 2003, spans 125 metres. The name Verftsbrua comes from the nearby shipyard, Trondhjems mekaniske Værksted, while the name Blomsterbrua is due to the bridge being covered with many different kinds of coloured flowers. Please feel free to check my photos here or find me by: |Website| ,
