• One of my favourite thing in Norway is its long days in the summer time. Here you can see the sunset in Ekne around 11 Pm. The very good thing about summer sunsets are their duration which last about one hour or more. I personally like this photo because of its composition. I would like very much to thank my very best friend for helping me in editing this photo. He is not only a good friend but also a talented photographer.

The Valsneset industrial area was established in the late 1970s, and in the late 1990s Valsneset became a central location in the work to establish wind power technology in Norway, which resulted in Trønderenergi establishing its first wind farm with five wind turbines in 2006. It also established a Norwegian test center for wind power technology with three licenses for testing different types of wind turbines. In 2019, the test center was replaced by a new wind power company, Vimle, which established itself with three new wind turbines at Valsneset, which can therefore be considered self-sufficient in electricity. The big breakthrough for Valsneset as an industrial area came in 2014, when Marine Harvest AS (now MOWI AS) opened its first feed factory with 50 employees and a capacity of 200,000 tonnes of fish feed for use in the aquaculture industry. In 2019, the number of employees had increased to approx. 90, and the factory sold fish feed for approx. NOK 4.5 billion. In 2021, the factory has received permission to further increase production up to 420,000 tonnes, and will thus be one of the world's largest factories for the production of fish feed. A factory called Fiizk Protection AS has also been established at Valsneset, which produces technical textiles for e.g. closed breeding cages for the farming industry.

King Olav Haraldsson was buried by Nidelven, the river Nid, after he was killed in the battle of Stiklestad in1030.

Tradition has it that the high Altar of the Cathedral now stands on the exact spot of this burial site. One year and five days after he died the King was declared a saint, and pilgrims began to flock to Nidaros and the King's grave.
The national sanctuary of Norway, built over the grave of St. Olav. Work began in 1070, but the oldest parts still in existence date from the middle of the twelfth century. These are in the Romanesque style, while most of the cathedral is Gothic in style. The building was completed in about 1300, but after being damaged several times by fire, it lay largely in ruins at the time of the Reformation in 1537. In 1869 extensive restorations were begun, and a century later it was again restored to its original grandeur. The stained glass dates from the early 20th century. The sculptures on the west front are by leading Norwegian artists, and the most recent was erected in 1983. Below the nave is the crypt with headstones from the middle ages. (From Trondheim.com)

The building was completed in 1898, three years after the Britannia Hotel had received its final design by the same architect and in a similar lush style. The fasade of Mathesongården is richly decorated with pilasters and decorative details, and the cornices gradually build up against the large baroque dome which is surrounded by small towers and balusters. Towards the corner, the initials JM marked the farm's initiator and owner. The dome is covered with zinc which has been painted green to mimic copper.

  • www.aziznasutiphotography.com Munkholmen (Norwegian: the monk's islet) is an islet north of Trondheim, Norway. It sits in the Trondheimsfjord about 1.3 kilometres (0.81 mi) northwest of the island of Brattøra and the mouth of the river Nidelva. The islet has served as a place of execution, a monastery, a fortress, prison, and a World War II anti-aircraft gun station. Today, Munkholmen is a popular tourist attraction and recreation site. In the years prior to the founding of the city of Trondheim in 997 by Viking King Olav Tryggvason, Munkholmen was used as an execution site by the Jarls of Lade. The arrival of Olav Tryggvason to Norway in 995 coincided with a revolt against Haakon Sigurdsson, who was killed by Tormod Kark. The severed heads of both Haakon and Kark were placed on stakes on Munkholmen facing out into the fjord to serve as a warning to visitors. Legend has it that before entering Trondheim, visitors were made to spit on these heads as a tribute to King Olav I of Norway. The tradition of displaying the severed heads of criminals and political opponents was continued for some time, but the heads were now placed so that they faced the city of Trondheim to deter its citizens from committing crimes.(Wiki)

  • One morning when I was going to my work office at Geological Survey of Norway, I saw a fantastic sunrise close by my office. In fact my working place located close enough to Trondheim fjord . Anyway, I had my camera with me and couldn stop myself not to go and take some shots. I went down to the coast and I already impressed by the unusual winter strong colors. I put the camera on the tripod and went as close possible to the waves. I was little bit scared as well because I am not a good swimmer
Anyway, I managed to get some very nice shots when I was standing still at least for 2-3 minutes.(Second picture)

Munkholmen is an islet in the municipality of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. The 13,000-square-metre island sits in the Trondheimsfjord about 1.3 kilometers northwest of the island of Brattøra and the mouth of the river Nidelva in the center of the city of Trondheim.

It is built in neo-Romanesque style, and if we look we find countless references to medieval churches and castles, not least through the soapstone portal that meets us in the entrance hall|.

  • Rojavaî Rojhelat (Sunset of the East)!
The beautiful city of Mahabad!
Mahabad is situated in a region that was the center of the Mannaeans, who flourished in 10th to 7th centuries BC. Mannaeans "after suffering several defeats at the hands of both Scythians and Assyrians, the remnants of the Mannaean populace were absorbed by an Iranian people known as the Matieni and the area became known as Matiene. It was then annexed by the Medes in about 609 BC.

Trondheim with picturesque, tiny, wooden houses. This idyllic neighbourhood on the east side of the Nidelva river features old timber buildings, originally the homes of the working class. Now restored, Bakklandet is a charming mixture of houses, shops and cafés.
• Here you can see the sunset in Ekne around 11 Pm. If you noticed carefully it is a relatively a long-exposure shot so how I managed to capture that very welcomed Heron? Well I have composed it. Indeed it is two exposures with two different lenses.Heron caught with 70-200 mm and the scene with 16-35 mm. All the Reflections are reall here. I would like very much to thank my very best friend for helping me in editing this photo. As I am always saying he is not only a good friend but also a talented photographer.
